October's
Newsletter
Aloha to the month of October. In Hawaiian we say 'Okakopa (oh-cah-ko-pah). Get ready to howl at the moon during this year's Halau-ween! This month there will be two amazing concerts you will not want to miss. Also at the end of the month the famous Va'a (Polynesian Ship) will be porting in Los Angeles. In this newsletter you will see pictures from the events that took place last month.
Maui Strong
Heali'i's Polynesian Revue and a few other Polynesian companies got together to raise money for the families that that were affected by the Maui fires. Harley Davidson Chula Vista opened the doors for our community to put on a fundraiser at their facility. Mahalo to all the people that came out and supported the event.
Padres Pacific Islander Night
September 5th, Heali'i's had the opportunity of representing the Pacific Islander community at Petco Park. The Padres hosted their annual Pacific Islander Night while beating the Phillies.
PIFA
PIFA was full of fun! The Polynesian community from all over shows great support to all that are performing, selling clothing, and selling food. PIFA 2023 was a great way to show off how we can condense our full Ho'ike show into thirty minutes.
